Welcome to this little (or not-so-little) site called Edonil's Lair. On it, you can view my art, writing, and a few random other things. So please, poke around, see what you can find. Drop me a line on my tagboard. Join my mailing list. And enjoy!

So... I kept meaning to update with more of my MaDaDiM dolls, but then May ended and I sort of... forgot. So here are the rest. So much updating...
a 1930s-esque guy, three random guys, Maeda Keiji, Jacuzzi Splot, Orihara Izaya, Yama-ji, Itoshiki Nozomu, Jack Vessalius, Howl, Mugen, and Simon.
I really should update more than once a week, so I don't have so much to do at a time... During the past week, I got one doll behind (because I wasn't home Saturday- I'll catch up later), and reached the half-way point, when I switched to dolling guys! We'll see how that goes...
New Dolls: a random girl, a cyber goth, my NaNo protagonist, me in a dress, my NaNo sidekick, a random guy, and a punk-ish guy.
In other news, I'm switching over to having three dolls in a row instead of two on the doll pages. I'll do the pages as I put dolls there.
More MADADIM dolls: 1920s fashion, 1930s fashion, poodle skirt, a random fashionable girl, a girl who was supposed to be a Japanese loli but didn't turn out, better success with loli fashion, and Ganguro fashion.
So far MADADIM is going well. This week is historical dolls, by the way. (My current plan is next week: fashion, Week 3: guys, Week 4: fanart. This may change.) I've added three new dolls (Regency, Victorian, Edwardian).
First, a new doll I did a couple of weeks ago for a challenge: polka dots.
Second, I've signed up for MADADIM (Make a Doll a Day in May). I probably won't update my website every day (that would take time away from dolling), but I should manage every few days (the backlog of dolls to update otherwise would be horrific). First doll is an Elizabethan doll. (I'll be categorising these according to what the doll is (fantasy, historical, etc.) rather than dumping them all in challenge, since there will theoretically be 31 new dolls at the end of the month.)
Obviously I updated in spurts. Like now, for instance. I have that doll I promised in the last update (which is of nothing in particular). Maybe I'll update again soon. Or, you know, not. We'll see. (I think I normally have an updating spurt in late spring, so it shouldn't be too long!)
This is why I made no promises during the last update; because there was no guarantee when I'd update next. For anyone who's curious, I work at a computer lab right now, which is lovely and fun and I get to surf the internet when nobody's computer is exploding, but it means I'm less inclined to do computer stuff when I'm at home. That's my excuse, anyway.
I noticed as I was going through some of my old doll pages that they were horribly outdated. I moved some dolls over to the Old Dolls page, including the entirety of Inspired Dolls. Now I need to make more dolls to fill the pages... (Don't worry, I'm working on one right now!)
I know, you must be thinking, "Two updates in two weeks! Surely Edonil has discovered that she is to be moved to a secure location in Antartica, and only wishes to get her affairs in order before she leaves the Internet!" But I actually have updates. Yay!
Two news dolls: Melon-chan from Akikan! and a portrait of me. Also, I changed the way I name my doll files. Not that anyone here should care, really, unless you regularly type the names of my dolls directly... (I used to denote whether the file was transparent or not in the filename. I then realised that this was ridiculous, since they're *all* transparent.)
In other news, I've taken up beading, and put up a few photos on my DeviantArt account. You can see them here.
Last update, I said I had ideas for dolls. Since then, I have made dolls. Maybe not in a timely manner, but hey, I made them. First is one of my characters for a DnD campaign (which I apparently made in September, but forgot to put up here), and the second is a random Asian/Victorian England combination.
My New Year's Resolution: to update more than once every four months.
Yeah... I didn't do much dolling over the summer, plus I was doing XHTML at work (and working all day), so not so many updates. Hopefully they'll resume now that I (should) have more free time. Or something like that.
Two new dolls. The first is for a challenge that was in May. The second is a firebird-inspired doll. I have a few ideas for some more dolls; we'll see how that goes.
Archives updated.

Welcome to my tag-board. Here are the rules: Don't chat (I'll just delete your post), don't post spoilers for my stories (don't ruin it for people who haven't read 'em yet!), and be nice. Basically, common-sense, please. Oh, and don't post more than two times in a row. |
