These are the answers to questions I've received via email. Some of them are random, yes, but somebody asked, so I answered. Feel free to send me some random questions of your own!
Is Shifters finished besides the editing? It's just those 4 chapters?
No, it's not finished, it's dead. Very dead. Never to be revived. Believe me, it's better this way. (To those that don't know, Shifters was a novel I was working on when I was fourteen. It's... not very good.)
How long have you been writing?
I learned how to write in kindergarten, I think. :) If you mean writing stories, since grade one (my teacher made it mandatory).
Why do you write about gods, and goddesses, and witches, and magic, and evil and such things?
Because if I didn't, it wouldn't be fantasy. :) And I think fantasy is interesting.
Why are you too lazy to write a long story?
Not any longer! (This question was asked a long time ago, when 99% of what I wrote was short stories. Now I write mostly novels.)
Do you believe in God?
No, I'm a bright/atheist.
Where do you get your story ideas?
I think there's some electron thingies in my brain... Actually, I can't give you a better answer than that. Seriously, don't all fantasy authors just make it up?
And do you sit down and actually say "I'm going to write about _____ today", or do you just write whatever comes out at the moment and hope it sounds good with the story?
I'm the Prewriting Queen. Seriously. If I don't know what happens in every single chapter before I start, I'll never finish. (I do discover new ideas as I write, of course, but I encorporate them into what I already have.)
How high does the temperature get where you are up there?
Well, here in my part of Canada, it ranges from 25 - 30 degrees celcius in summer to somewhere near freezing in winter. Not very warm, but also not particularly cold. Uh, in fahrenheit, I think 25 degrees is about 80, but I'm not too sure.
Do you like the Harry Potter books?
Yes, but I like the fandom more. It's so entertaining to watch...
Which is better: spinach or greens?
Uh... Spinach salad tastess pretty good... (Isn't spinach green?)
Which do you prefer: arctic regions or hot deserts?
Hot deserts. I hate the cold. (And I'm living in Canada because...?)
Have you read 'The Princess Bride'?
Nope. I keep meaning to, but nope.
Have you ever heard of the 'Dragon Riders of Pern'?
Yep, but never read those books either.
Do you play any instruments?
Used to. I played piane for a year or two, then stopped that in grade seven, when I was in the grade seven band (I played trombone). I took singing lessons from grade seven through grade twelve.
Have you ever seen a banana slug?
Yep, many times. They're not exactly uncommon around here.
What's your birthday?
April 14. Best day of the year.
What's the favourite story you've written?
My latest story. :) It changes, you see, since I'm presumably getting better.
Where can I view some of these 'slide show movies'?
You can't. The site died. Good riddance. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you're better off for it.)
Do you draw with tools or pixel by pixel?
Yay tools! I occasionally draw outlines pixel-by-pixel, but even then it's mostly touch-ups to lines I drew in a long sweep of pixels. (I do have a few exceptions, obviously.)
Estimation of how many stories you've written.
Does this include every story I've started since the age of six, because there's no way I could ever give that a number. And are we including rewriting earlier stuff, because I rewrite nearly everything! Mostly of the stuff I wrote as an early teen is on this site, but I don't think any of my novels are... (tl;dr: I have no clue.)
How long have you had a website?
Well, I did create a rp forum when I was about thirteen... This site was probably created about a year later (but I'm not entirely sure).
How long have you been dolling.
Since September 3, 2003.
Have you ever had a story published/do you want to?
No, I haven't. Maybe I'll give it a shot when I finish something. :P
How old is your sister?
Three years younger than me.
How long does it take you to make a doll?
Depends. My current record for shortest is forty-five minutes (it looks awful). Often they take a few days (weeks, months), working off and on.
Have you made any bases?
Yep, look right HERE.
Mm-hmm. That's my FAQ. If you want to add to it, just email me!)
